washi tape

Are these not the sweetest packages?  They are simple candy boxes wrapped with washi tape.  Washi tape is a paper tape from Japan that comes in pretty colors and patterns, and is often translucent.  It comes on a roll and feels like masking tape and can easily be found at most craft supply stores.

Another cute idea.....besides using these on your clothes line, they can be used to secure a lunch bag or to clip paperwork together and add a bit of color to your work space.

I originally bought washi tape with this intention in mind, to use as file folder labels.  I have been organizing my filing cabinet and wanted to add a bit of color and personality without having to replace all of my manila file folders, this will definitely do the trick.

With so many colors and patterns to choose from, the ideas are endless for this tape, use to seal an envelope to that special someone, cover cardstock and use as a bookmark, recover a book with white or brown kraft paper and line the spine with pretty tape..........as I said, the ideas to be creative are endless.  Have a great day!
